Understand allowances before they become blockers.

Manage subscription
Organization owners and admins can compare offers, start a checkout, and open Manage in Polar. Other members see a prompt to ask an organization admin. The page shows renewal, end-of-period cancellation, scheduled plan changes, and an Updating state when the cached entitlement is stale.
Moving from Free to a paid plan continues to Polar Checkout to collect and confirm payment details. Changing an existing paid subscription uses the saved Polar payment method:
- upgrades take effect immediately and Polar invoices the prorated difference immediately; the plan changes only if that payment succeeds
- downgrades take effect at the next renewal and do not charge or credit the account when they are scheduled
The plan picker states the timing before confirmation, disables repeat submissions while the change is applying, and reports whether the result is active, scheduled, or still synchronizing.
Feature catalog
The catalog defines custom domains, archive history, branding removal, private channels, multiple apps, and analytics. Some stored capabilities do not yet have a dashboard control: in particular, the current channel UI does not expose a private-channel toggle, and download-page customization controls are not present.
Billing policies
See the canonical Refund and Cancellation Policy for cancellation timing, refunds, billing errors, statutory rights, and Polar’s merchant-of-record role.
